Discounts - Discounts tab

This tab is where you select the type of discount you wish to create.

NOTE: The first option - None - may seem odd, but it allows you to offer add-ons or waive fees without discounting any products.

The Discount type is required when building your discount.


This feature is not activated on all sites. If you're interested in adding ecommerce on your site, please contact Saffire Support.


Spark location: Commerce > Discounts > Add Discount

None (no discount)

Used when offering to add-on a free ticket or waive fees without discounting the face value of your product(s).

example: use this option to get free parking with the purchase of a concert ticket

Off Subtotal

This will reduce a $ or % off the ORDER subtotal. This type is not dependent on what is in the cart unless a separate qualifier is set up in the Qualifiers tab.

example: use this option to receive $5 off your order

Off Products / Price Types

Discount only specific products. This can limit to a particular product category, sub-category, product, seat category, and/or price type.


Products:

Discount only selected products. Multiple products may be added by selecting Add More Products.

Select products to discount via the Category dropdown:

If you don't see the product you are trying to discount here, the product may be set to 'not discountable'. To check, edit the product and go to the Sales tab. Open Advanced Options and make sure the "This product is not discountable" checkbox is unchecked. Save, then go back to your discount page and refresh before searching for the product again.

Price Types:

Discount only set Price Types across full Categories/Subcategories. This allows you to set a discount for example %5 off Adult on all products, and not have to add each individual product to the list (while still preventing your other price types from being discounted)


Select price types to discount via the All Products area:

Product/Price Type Combination:

A combination of products and price types can be selected by using both areas. For example, to discount only Senior tickets for this product, I've selected the product and the price type Senior:

Tiered

Discount with varying degrees ($ or %) dependent on the quantity of products being purchased.

example: use this option to get 5% off any 10-19 products or 10%off any 20+ products
