Key Details
When the Asset Library was released, images already placed in multiple locations on your site were included as individual images in the library. So you may see some duplicates.
- You can reuse photos in multiple locations throughout your site. When adding an image, you'll have the option of selecting from the library or uploading a new asset.
- When editing an image from the library, you have the option to save your changes to the original image or you can save your changes as a new image.
- Any changes you make to an image from a specific site location (rather than from the library ) will be saved as a new image. The original image will not be modified.
- When reusing an image previously loaded into the library, you have the option to use the original image's metadata (title, caption, alternate text), or you can customize it for the new location.
- All instances of an image which use the original metadata will be updated if the metadata is modified from the library.
