Online forms allow you to collect and manage information, as well as process ecommerce transactions. Here's a few ideas for how you could be using them...

  • presenting surveys
  • acquiring sales leads
  • taking customer questions & comments
  • managing event registrations
  • accepting service orders
  • selling merchandise
  • selling tickets
  • accepting donations

Saffire forms cannot be used to collect sensitive data such as credit card numbers, social security information, drivers license info, passwords or similar types of information.

Before You Get Started

There are a few things you should know before starting to add forms to your site.

  • Forms are built and managed under Tools > Forms
  • There are two ways you can present forms on your site:
    1. With a direct link to a form page. These could be in your main navigation, on another page, or shared off-site.
    2. By using a Forms Module to add a Form on a Page. This is a more flexible choice because it allows for other modules to be added to the page.
  • Forms use a different page structure than dynamic, event and business pages. All forms are built on a 3-column layout with data fields added using specialized Form Items.
  • All forms require a User Account Info item which collects a first name, last name and email with every submission.
  • To have the ability to sell anything through a form, your site will need to be integrated with an ecommerce Payment Gateway.
