Device+ Advantage Rental Protection

Saffire Device+ Advantage is an optional premium rental add-on that gives you predictable protection from the unexpected. From volunteers to seasonal staff, we know not everyone handles equipment with the same level of care. That’s why we offer a simple way to reduce your risk and protect your event budget — without surprises. 

This program waives the cost of accidental damage to your rented devices. 


What It Covers 

  • Accidental damage to covered devices during the rental period 
  • Repair or replacement of damaged equipment 
  • All eligible devices rented under your event’s contract 

🚫 What It Doesn’t Cover 

  • Lost, stolen, or unreturned devices 
  • Late return or failure-to-return fees 
  • Damage from intentional misuse or gross negligence 

Pricing  

Saffire Device+ Advantage is priced as a percentage of your total contracted equipment value. This protects the entire order of covered devices for the event period.

How It Works

Saffire Device+ Advantage is not an insurance product. It's a premium service enhancement that simplifies budgeting and limits out-of-pocket costs due to accidental damage. You get clarity and control — with no need to chase down individual repair costs after your event. 


Terms & Conditions 


1. Enrollment & Eligibility 

1.1. Saffire Device+ Advantage (“Device+”) is an optional add-on available for rental customers who opt in at the time of booking or by requesting Device+ in writing at any time prior to the Client’s receipt of rental devices. 


1.2. Device+ is not an insurance policy. It is an optional premium rental add-on that provides additional service, covering accidental damage to rented devices during the rental period. 


1.3. Enrollment applies to a single rental period and covers all devices included in that rental agreement. Each new rental period or event requires separate enrollment, acceptance of terms, and payment of applicable fees. 


1.4. Device+ applies only to devices owned by and rented directly from Saffire and is valid for the duration of the rental period. 


2. Incident Details 

2.1. Covered Incidents 

  • Accidental drops, cracks, or screen damage 
  • Liquid spills 
  • Battery failures (not caused by misuse) 
  • Internal hardware malfunctions due to accidental impact 


2.2. Exclusions 

  • Lost, stolen, or unreturned devices 
  • Intentional damage, misuse, or neglect 
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications 
  • Damage occurring after the rental period 
  • Accessories such as cables, chargers, and carrying cases 


3. Claims & Replacement Process 

3.1. Clients must report any damage prior to return of the device. 


3.2. Devices covered under Device+ will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost. 


3.3. If a device is lost, stolen, or not returned, the full replacement cost will be charged to the Client. 


3.4. Clients who do not enroll in the optional Device+ service will be responsible for the full repair or replacement cost of any damaged device(s) including accidental damage. 


4. Limitations & Fees 

4.1. Device+ does not waive late return fees which are charged separately. 


4.2. Clients must take reasonable care of devices; repeated claims due to negligence may result in inability to participate in this optional service. 


4.3. Clients who elect to add-on Device+ are liable for outlined fees unless Saffire receives a written request to opt out of the program prior to delivery of covered devices to the Client. A cancellation form is available; however, any written format is acceptable so long as it includes the Client name, confirmation of acceptance of all damage liability, and is signed by an authorized representative of the Client and is received by Saffire prior to delivery of devices to the Client. 


4.4. The Device+ fee is non-refundable once the rental period has begun.  


4.5. Device+ does not provide reimbursement or cash payouts to Clients—it only covers the repair or replacement of damaged devices under the terms stated. 


4.6. Short-Term (event-specific) rentals under Device+ are billed at a rate of 10% of the total standard rental cost (excluding shipping costs and impact of any device credits or waivers) with a cap of $60 per rented device for short-term rental periods.  


4.7 Long-Term Placement rentals under Device+ are billed at a rate of 10% of the total standard rental cost (excluding shipping costs and impact of any device credits or waivers).
