Authorize.net - AVS Filters
Address Verification System (AVS) filters are used to verify that the address provided during online checkout matches the credit card being used. When AVS filters are default enabled, Authorize.Net doesn’t recognize that you may also be processing in-person transactions which aren't paired with a billing address. Because of this, AVS protection can cause declined transactions at your gates.
If your organization is only using Authorize.net to process online transactions, then it's not necessary to make any changes to the AVS settings. But if you're also making Box Office sales we urge you to use the settings shown below.
