A Quick Tour of Spark

Pulse

A dashboard for checking activity on your website.

  • Action Required will show you what images, forms, and uploads have been added to your website that you need to approve or export. Click on the tiles to perform the action.
  • Quick Shot Analytics will show you the current number of users on your website and the type of device they're using.
  • Most Visited Pages, Users By City, Traffic Sources, and Visits will show you the site traffic from the last 7 days. (your website must be tied to a Google Analytics account in order for this information to be published on Pulse).
  • The Site Pulse module will show you additional website activity from the previous month.
  • Current Homepage Main Features shows you the primary feature running on your homepage.

Site Map

This is the command center for your navigation sections, pages and categories. You can create, edit, hide and deactivate pages & links, as well as rearrange them and even delete them.

You'll also find convenient links to your Homepage Features, Tickets page (if you're using SaffireTix) and other common non-standard pages.

Events

From here you'll add & manage your event listings. You can edit, view, list/unlist, and deactivate individual events. The 'Quick edit' option allows for speedy event updates, and the Bulk Actions can alter settings on multiple events in one swift change.

Businesses

This section has nearly identical functionality to Events - yet, it is not date focused. Businesses are not available on all sites, so if you don't see it in your Spark navigation and are interested in learning more, please contact your Client Experience Manager.

Commerce

Under this heading you'll find a variety of tools and functionality pertaining to ecommerce. The options vary, depending on whether you're using SaffireCommerce for things such as registrations and merchandise, or if you're using SaffireTix for ticketing.

Tools

A vast number of special functions and page managers are available here. Access to your Homepage Features, Site Settings, Forms and Users are the most valuable - but you'll also find the Privacy policy, Sponsors, Tags, the Change Log and more. We'll go into detail in the Tools section of the Knowledge Base.

Help

The orange button in the bottom right corner of Spark may become your best friend! This gives you fast access to Instant Answers from the Saffire Knowledge Base - and if you need some personal assistance from our support team, you can switch to the 'Ask' option at the top of the window and use chat or email. Chat will only be active when a real human is available to help.

Action Panels

You'll see these on event pages, dynamic pages, product pages, and a few other special pages throughout Spark. They appear as blue buttons on the far right side of the page.

Note: on dynamic pages the panel displays the title 'Tools' at the top - but the functionality is different from what you find under 'Tools' at the top of Spark.

The Action Panel is where you'll Save any changes you make to the page... and the rest of the functions will be unique to the type of page you're working on.
