Authorize.net - Velocity Filters

To ensure that Authorize.net continues accepting transactions during high volume periods (such as event/concert on-sales), there are a few settings which need to be disabled within your AuthNet account.

We're hyper-focused on the Daily & Hourly Velocity Filters, which could slow down or completely stop transactions online and at the gate,

Fraud Detection Suite

In your Authorize.net account, navigate to TOOLS > Fraud Detection Suite to access the velocity filters. You'll need the adjust the Daily and Hourly filters as shown below.

Daily velocity filter

The Daily Velocity Filter sets a limit for the total number of transactions received per day. You want this to be disabled!

1. uncheck 'Enable filter'
2. clear the 'Transaction Velocity Threshold' (if you can't remove the number, set it to 1,000,000)
3. change the 'Filter actions' to 'Process as normal'

Hourly velocity filter

The Hourly Velocity Filter sets a limit for the total number of transactions received per hour. You want this to be disabled!

1. uncheck 'Enable filter'
2. clear the 'Transaction Velocity Threshold' (if you can't remove the number, set it to 100,000)
3. change the 'Filter actions' to 'Process as normal'
