As always, we encourage you to read the notes below and try out the new features for yourself. Please reach out via support@saffire.com if you have any questions!

Operational Communications

Location: Commerce > Utilities > Operational Communications

This new feature allows you to send emails directly from Spark to ticket purchasers to inform them about important operational updates.

Operational Communications NOT Operational Communications (Marketing)
✅ Know Before You Go ❌ Upsell or "you might also like" opportunities
✅ Change in Start Time for Event ❌ Cross promotion for upcoming events
✅ Updates to Artist or Performance Line Up ❌ Targeting emails for Marketing purposes

Step 1: Select Recipients

You can choose WHO to send these communications to by selecting purchasers or redemptions by Product, Purchase Date range, if a product has any missing Ticket Details, etc.

Step 2: Enter Content

Enter the Email Subject line and then use the WYSIWYG to compose the content of the email. You can also add in personalization to the email using tokens for Order Number, Access Tickets URL, First Name, Last Name, etc.

Step 3: Review & Send

You are required to send a preview email in order to complete the scheduling or send immediately the Communications. By default, this preview will go to the user's email that is logged into Spark, however if this is not an email that you can access, we recommend you replace the preview email with another that you can review.

On the top of any of the screens, we display the Projected Communications, this number is just a projection based on current order. this number can increase or decrease depending on the date of the email being sent.

For example, if you say this email is going to purchasers of a particular product and is scheduled to send next week, that projected number will be how many people would receive it now. However, within the next week, you may have more customers that have purchased that product and will therefore receive this communication as well.

By clicking View Recipients, you can see all the orders/emails that apply. Click Hide Recipients to close this list.

Limits

You are able to send up to 50k emails each month.

As a part of this feature, we have added some limits to this new feature. We now have a max number of emails that you are able to send in a given month. It is very unlikely that you are hitting this limit if you are sending Operational emails only.

Hint: If you have any communications that you believe that require more than 50k in a single month, please reach out to your Account Manager or support@saffire.com and we'll happily discuss how we can best achieve this.

Automated sending of emails for Delayed Delivery Tickets

Spark Location: Commerce > SaffireTix > Payment Types

The feature for Delayed Ticket Delivery was released previously and allows you to control when your customers can access tickets. This improvement takes that feature a step further and will now automatically send an email to purchasers of these products as soon as their tickets are accessible. No more manual work to inform these purchasers, simply schedule the delayed delivery date and your customers will receive an email when they can access their tickets to add them to their Apple or Google wallets, or print them at home.

Note: If you previously utilized this scheduling feature, go into the products and click the orange Save button on the right side to apply the automation of the email.
