8.2 Release Notes

We've got some exciting updates to share that bring more control, smarter advertising, and new ways to boost your revenue.

TLDR: 8.2 Release includes updates to your site's Cookies Banner, improvements to Facebook Conversion API handling, and new integrations with Fluent Ads and Stay22 hotel booking. Plus, we've added extra fraud protection measures to keep your sales secure.

Cookies Banner Customization Options

On the Customer Facing View of your website, your customers are presented with a Cookies Banner. This isn't new, however we've added a new grouping of data that your customers can choose to opt out of. This new section is labeled "Advertising & Targeting", these cookies allow our marketing partners to display relevant targeted ads during your browsing experience on this site and other websites.

Facebook Conversion API Improvements

We've made some enhancements to how data is handled when using the Facebook/Meta Conversion API.

With the implementation of these improvements, there will be a sharing of rich data that can improve your targeting of customers for future campaigns.

If a customer opts-out of "Advertising & Targeting" cookies (see below), any data collected will be in a Limited Data Use (LDU) mode. Facebook will handle this LDU data appropriately depending on the customer's geolocated state.

This is only if you're actively using the Facebook integration in Spark.


Fluent Ad Services

Location: Customers will see this on the Confirmation Screen

We've integrated with Fluent to provide targeted ads to customers on our platform. Upon completion of a sale, your customer will see a new popup with targeted advertisements they may accept.

The ads shown are managed within Fluent's system. We can provide a list of Ad partners if you would like to customize the offering on your site. More information can be found in the following article, Fluent Ad Tech FAQ (hyperlink from JBD)

💲This new feature offers a new Revenue Channel for your Organization. There is opportunity to earn additional revenue based on how many of your customers choose to accept offers through this Integration.


Stay 22 Hotel Booking Integration

Location: Customers will see this on the Confirmation Screen

On the Confirmation Page, after placing an order, your customers will see a new map with local hotel/stay booking options.

💲This new integration with Stay 22 offers a new revenue stream for your organization.

    • As the market shifts, we've adapted with some new behind the scenes Fraud Protection Controls.
